Thanks lexis! Your reply made me relook at hakone again. Instead of spending on bullet train to kyoto, I may as well splurge on a good ryoken. Anyone stayed at hakone-ginyu before or have any good ryoken to recommend in this area? Would prefer one which has a private onsen in the room & easy access to public transport, thanks!

I was in Kawaguchiko last Nov and the Autumn coulours were beautiful. Nov shd also be a good time to see Autumn colours in Kyoto. For the more accurate date and months, check out the autumn guide on Japan Guide (See link below)

Hi, May i know where can i hire a car like Toyota Hiace from Tokyo Haneda Airport to Shinjuku district? Will there be counter at the airport like Singapore where i can hire a maxicab? Then is there any data sim card to purchase at the airport? Like can use for 10 days? Thank you in adv.

Do you just want to do hiroshima and Tokyo only or more?
I did Kyoto, Osaka, Himeji and Hiroshima and Miyajima in about 8 days in spring of 2015. You can definitely do Hiroshima from Tokyo too, using the Shinkansen. For us to suggest a route, perhaps you can share what you want to do in more detail.

We want to do more as we are not taking the kids this time. I think Osaka and Kyoto is a must. But we also want to see some lesser known areas that are worth visiting and suitable to visit during September. Thanks in advance!
