I don't think the P3 text can be used for next year as there is a drastic change in the content... The \"huan le huo ban\" website has uploaded the chapters for 3A, maybe you can compare the new chapters with the old ones to see if there's any repetition..

International Chess. The time waster before iPads.
The wushu team use rvhs dsa to lure students in. I tell them go fly kite. If i want my child to be physical active, i go elsewhere, not for the sake of dsa.
My P1 daughter was in wushu last year and was told she was in school team. She even attended the training daily during her Nov/Dec school holidays. Today, she rcvd her new training schedule (given 2 - non school team & school team). When we questioned the teacher in charge, she simply replied that to ignore the school team schedule, when we asked further how come she's not in school team, no reply. I cannot believe how irresponsible can these teachers-in-charge be. During the Nov/Dec holidays, there is no Keming school teachers around but simply the wushu coaches and sometimes, no coaches, asking students to teach the juniors. Without the Keming school teachers to take attendance, how can one knows if the child did attend the training or not. -

The school has a School Programme Executive (SPE) to do administrative work, which includes taking the attendance of pupils and relieving the school teachers who are having their meetings. The SPE is one of the administrative staff and has the responsibility of doing the above.

From what I heard, there is one instructor for every CCA to many pupils, so the instructors are not able to attend all the pupils at the same time and need to take turns. Sometimes the instructors will get the seniors to coach the juniors while attending to another group of pupils.
Other ccas too have such situations. I learned to check with many people (though time-consuming) before coming to a conclusion. One child told her mother that she was \"kicked out\" from a CCA. After the parent checked with the teacher-in-charge and the instructor, they explained that the girl misunderstood the instructions when they told her to stand at the side (cos she didn't attend previously) while the rest of the pupils danced. -
:?: Hi there!
Need advice from fellow parents. My child is taking her PSLE soon and got feedback from her teacher about her standard.
Tried to get home tutor but was advised by agencies like smiletution and tutionsingapore that tutors will not take on job because they have to pay half month commission to agency and only one month left.
The parent volunteers tell me merritt education is the best here and I just visited the place. They’re not taking in any P6 students cause of disruption to other students.
Need to check with parents if there are other alternatives.
Also, anyone taken no-pay leave to coach their child? Is it true that will cause strain in relationship?
Thanks. -

If tuition is not an available option, then listen to the feedback from the teachers and work together with your child on areas that she is not strong in. At this time of the year, the children are revising their concepts in school. I suggest doing practice papers to reinforce what has been taught and learned.
There are also articles available on https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/article/?category_name=primary-school page of the forum. Reading them might perhaps help clear your doubts.
I have known of colleagues taking either no-pay leave or lighten their workload to coach and give support to their child. After all, this is the children's first major exam in their life! I'm not sure what kind of strain you are referring to. If you're referring to the parent-child relationship, it depends on the parents' attitude towards the children and their learning and how we handle the situations that arise.
Good Luck! -
Hi everyone!
Any parents whom child is born in 2012, plan to enrol into Keming Pri Sch in Year 2019?
Need advice from all parents, how can I do the parent volunteer in this sch? Is the registration for parent volunteer closed? This is my first time experiencing this, I read alot of feedbacks in this portal for other pri schools, mentioning that parents have to do 40 hrs of volunteer work…which means around July 2017, we have to start to do volunteer work so that by July 2018 we will complete the volunteer hours. And in time to enrol our children for Year 2019 P1!
Really appreciate if you can advise me… and thank you in advance! -

Based on the school http://kemingpri.moe.edu.sg/keming-family/our-parent-support-group, registration as a parent volunteer is closed for those who wish to register their child under Phrase 2B for 2020 intake. Registration for next year is opened to the 2021 intake. -
Hi everyone,
I am very new to this forum and this is my first post as first time mummy going through P1 registration.
I am staying at CCK and my hubby was an old boy of Keming.
Just wanna solicit some advices for my boy’s registration of P1.
I stay <1km from South View Pri which is also a popular school. Should I apply for Phase 2C in SVP or Phase 2A1 in Keming and why?
Thanks in advance! -
