DH's niece's situation also similar. Study hard day and night. Not yet grad from NTU but already secured a job in Ernst&Young! GPA close to 4. She was from Ngee Ann Poly previously.
son's prev science tutor was from ngee ann poly doing biochemistry. scored 3.5/4 for GPA...went on to NTU. after giving tuition for 2 years now furthering her degree in australia.
if the child wants to go to poly, he/she must study very hard to get a place in U....or else he will be spending time applying and applying while working. this is what hubby went through before he finally got a place in NTU in school of engineering. -

The other option after 3 years of gaining relevant work experience would be to apply as a mature student. For mature student, relevant work experience matters more than GPA (although a reasonable GPA > 3.0 is still expected). This route typically favors female poly grads because more likely to have relevant experience (because of diploma) and no need to spend an additional 2 years in NS.

DD (IP track) got A2 grade for her Higher Chinese. She is relieved as don’t have to take her MTL in JC liao.

totally dejected when he collected. now have to decide properly those 12 options.
