Frankly, I thought you could have put forth your point in a nicer tone. Your concluding sentence \"All these talks without actual results yet are just empty talk. Let the actual results show itself then talk facts! \" seems a bit harsh, especially with the exclaimation mark at the end of your sentence. It seems you are just shouting out loud.
I just want to clarify my position: I am just stating what I observe in the various JC threads, and hoping to discourage such empty talk that draw sparks and cause dissatisfaction. I have no idea whether post comes from EJC or non-EJC parent, and have no intention to offend!Pen88n:
So happening in JC threads nowadays:
- NYJC 'kicking' EJC in its thread and comparing with TJC, DHS and RVHS
- EJC 'kicking' RIJC / HCJC in its thread and comparing with top 5
Why need all these 'talk big' and prediction? All these talks without actual results yet are just empty talk. Let the actual results show itself then talk facts!
Maybe time to :siam: JC threads now...........
To put things in perspective, what the parents are discussing here are nothing compared to what is discussed in the NYJC thread.
The people here are discussing and hoping that EJC will one day displace the top JCs if possible. There is nothing wrong with having big dreams, right ? Even our children have their own big dreams..
On the other hand, in the NYJC thread, there were very blatant attempts at putting down other JCs by citing unsubstantiated statistics..... -
Seems like CHS boys cannot escape the 'fate' of showing off their hairy legs, even after leaving CHS and going on to JC.[/quote]
Actually the boys can wear long pants with polo if they wish to.
Just like the option for girls to pair their polo with skirt or berms, the boys can wear either pants or berms with their polo.
My boy says that most of them still prefer the berms though
-
My boy is in berms all the time too

:? Wondering why need the 'kicking'' among the JCs? Every JC has its own merit and emphasis. As mentioned by the principal of EJC in the Straits Times, quoted \"The school, set to welcome first batch this year, will stress values, not elitism\". From here, we can see that the emphasis is not solely on the academic results. The basis for comparison is different. Thus, it is not necessary to wait for the actual results to prove. This is my personal view.So happening in JC threads nowadays:

Sharon Au seem more loyal to EJC than her alma mater HCJC.
phtthp: ochre and orange ones were in the old series. SNGS alumnae Sharon Au and styleXstyle designers gave their inputs and refined the designs later.

Tanglin Secondary School is grey and white.
Grey and white looks rather old school...think there was a school along dunean having that combi. Wld be nice if they have korean styled slim fit design. -

IMHO, I think the COP will be determined by the non-IP students of the CHS, SNGS and SCGS.Since this is the first batch, wonder what will be the COP.
Best of luck for students receiving their GCE O Level results tomorrow.
So far I have heard that students from other schools are not that willing to choose EJC.
But if the non-IP students of the 3 feeder schools choose EJC, EJC can still get a low COP. -
jetsetter:
Very good question that many are keen to know, but nobody know the answer.
Are the current O level track students from those 3 feeder schools keen to apply for EJC@mt Sinai, or do they prefer to keep their options open?
Think for the first few years (@mt sinai) more west-enders looking at ACJC or even NJC may put this as one of the options for JAE.
