From what I have read so far, Janet’s son is more suited to be in the poly. A level is likely to kill him with so much writing required.

To me this is a clear cut case of not going for A level route, and so I don’t really understand why in the first place the application for MI when all gunfire should be focused in getting into a course of interest in ANY poly.

Youth years are limited. Should enjoy this crucial part of life while studying and not struggling through the 3 years when there’s a lower chance of bearing meaningful fruit after that.

Many key self esteem issues are involved for the child’s emotional development during these years if such have not been developed positively in the earlier years. The child should complete this part of the development as a more confident person and not in a self-doubting and defeated mode (if a child can’t complete this part of emotional development by age 18 (almost reaching the last chance of developing healthy EQ), then this negative trait is likely to follow him for the rest of his life. So do not take this part of emotional development lightly and only be clouded with the far fetched ‘uni’ picture).

                    Good Luck, Janet!

                      thanks hercules.

it was indeed a BIG mistake to put MI for the first 2 choices...main reason was because hubby felt that son would have more courses to choose if he had taken A levels...but we didn't realize how tough GP & MT will be. so we had neglected his feelings and his interest...which explained the mad rush yesterday to appeal. though this thing is not on a first-come-first-serve basis, it was really a desperate rush to make amendments. well, he had made his choices, now is to pray hard for the best.

Hi! I really need advice on YJC vs MI.

I am currently a school drop out because I am not used to the poly system and studying something that I am not really that interested in. I am planning to enroll to either YJC/MI next year through the JAE system. I am afraid 2 years is too short for me so I am thinking of going MI. I would call myself a slow but independent learner so which would you recommend? I am also scared of mixing with the wrong people seeing i get influenced rather easily… My combi will most likely be PCME. with Econs being H1. I am also

No CCA points. Took 6 subjs because I dropped from pure chem/phy.
