My dd classmate 10-4 net 6 can't make it to science stream, so the cop for science stream is still net 6 this year.

      Are u appealing?

      I don't know, it's my dd's classmate not my dd 😓
by the way, i have heard another friend's child net 6 doesn't make it to science stream, i think there will be a lot of appeals going on.....

        Nyjc cut-off-point is 6 and 7. YES!

Parents and students are able to see clearly and decide for themselves their choiced JC- NYJC regardless of the existence of the non- NYJC parents or unwelcomed visitors here in this forum who try very hard to stir unnecessarily troubles and anxieties.
If these people wish to know more about NYJC, they are welcome.
But funny is they dont intend to enrol their kids in NYJC OR their kids are already in another JC YET keep coming to NYJC forum.
But if their intention is to create fear and affect potential students opting for NYJC, TRY harder folks…
NYJC is not the Top few Tier JCs but :
        - it has been improving… and the college is always reviewing its academic stragtegy to fine tune it.
To the JC1 admitted into NYJC this year, WELCOME !!!

Congratulations to NYJC for maintaining its COP despite the fact that it provides very little information on its past A level results. Hope NYJC will be more opened about the coming 2016 A level performance so that parents here are able to back up their declaration of NYJC results and improvements (that are in line with its improved 'academic quality' of pupils).
As a fact, DS's juniors chose NYJC over other JCs due to its more centralized location as well as its zero-IP-pupil status.
They feel more comfortable to flock with pupils of the same feathers as all are from JAE and many are non-top PSLE pupils from non-premier sec schools like themselves.
          All the best!

It will be great if the Principal has indeed visited this site. Hope he will be more transparent in NYJC A level results than his predecessor so as to end all the speculations and disputes here.

P/S: Hmmm....Do forummers use their real names in KSP? 😉

Good thinking. But I shall do it openly here instead of sending a private message.

Dear user by the name of lowchunmeng, if you are indeed the current NYJC principal, please step forward and answer my queries. ( Apologies if it sounds like ouija board)

                  1. Can you advise if you will share with the public regarding NYJC 2016 A level results which should be released in a few weeks time?

                  2. Why is it that only a handful of pupils/parents of this JC are able to get hold of certain 2015 statistics such as the % of distinction for Math, Chem, PW etc. How accurate are these information? Will you flash such stats in the hall on the day of results release?

                  3. Personally, I am interested to know the stats for 2015 and 2016 on
                  a. % of pupils who gets at least 3H2 distinctions with a pass in GP
                  b. average UAS (university admission score)
                  c. % of A & AB of all the individual subject offered against the national average (understand if it's not shown to public)
                  d. % of pupils who are eligible for local universities ( and what is the min indicative UAS if any)

                  Thanks in advance.

Heard from another thread that even nett 6 cant even get in to science stream.

Not true. 6 points can get in Science

It has been confirmed that NYJC Science COP is partial 6. So not all students with nett 6 will get to enter. Looks like competition is stiff for my DS
