A levels is certainly more academically rigorous than the IB. If you are thinking of applying to overseas universities, the IB might give you a more competitive application.

I think one needs to look at which school the child is from when you talk about IB. If you are looking at top IB schools in Singapore such as ACSI and SJI, the academic rigors of IB is certainly no less than A levels. This is due to the subjects offered in these schools. They are as academic as the A levels.

Just because of news such as ACSI accounts for half of the world's perfect IB scores does not mean that the IB curriculum is inherently easier than A levels. The number of RI(JC) students with straight As are 3 digit figures. This is excluding those who also get perfect 90 UAS but do not have straight As. Do we then say the A levels is easy?

Parents with kids who have gone through A levels and IB will attest to the bitter-sweet love-hate journey their kids go through. So there is no use comparing A levels with IB, O level with IP, etc. Just find one that suits your child and enjoy the journey. :rahrah:

        Is IB \"Tuition-proof\"?

        An old but interesting article.

Not a JC, I think. (ACSI is also not a JC). SJI is the only other place I can think of besides international schools.

SOTA, but admission at year 5 is only via Film and Theatre. If successful, they will also pursue the IBDP.

                Yes, SOTA offers IB.
Heard that SOTA emphasizes a lot on academics compared to last time.

Hi, someone told me that 90 rp can be ‘equated’ to IB 45 points, 87.5 rp to IB 44 points, 85 rp to IB 43 points. Is this true?

Any idea where to get the IB COP to local university courses? I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Appreciate any advice. Thank you
