Yes.Will the moderators be providing updates of take up during each phase?
I remember every year someone does it. -

If your girl is indifferent between a single gender school and a co-ed school, look at the CCAs offered by both schools and ask her to indicate her preference. You may not be able to deduce anything from the O level results of St Theresa.hello @galaxyraider and @phtthp, thank you for the inputs
@galaxyraider affiliates is what all my friend said should consider, and they said CHIJ is a good school but nothing decided yet haha
@phtthp you have given inputs that we haven't thought before. Will do the GCE O level checking and put it in our consideration. And as for our daughter preference, last week she did mention eagerly that she wants to go to River Valley Primary school. This due to some of her peers that born in 2010 went to RVPS. But RVPS is not within 2km from our house, so i don't think she can get the slot there and its a little too late for PV now.
Thank you for the inputs, we will do the homework now and check with our daughter also which one she prefers and we will try for P2C, and crossing finger she can get the slot as its quite competitive i heard
RMPS and CHIJ Kellock have different culture. If you do not mind either, perhaps like what the other forummer suggested, you may like to look at the chances of getting in. There shouldn't be any problem in your girl getting into CHIJ Kellock. As for RMPS, the school conducted balloting for SCs in the 1-2 km category last year whereas prior to that, balloting was always for SCs in the less than 1 km category. This could be because more parents registered their children in Alexandra Primary rather than RMPS. -

If you're referring to live updates from members when registration is ongoing, there's no dedicated thread for that. And don't count on it as the updates are voluntary. -

For past 5 years,
Yes, there's affiliation between Kuo Chuan Primary & Secondary. As of this year, you only need 200 points to go to express. Not sure about balloting in Phase 2C. Should be either <1km or 1-2km.vickvick:
What's the balloting history for Catholic High and Kuo Chuan Presbyterian in Phase 2C? We are within 1-2km of the school.
Also, any affiliation for sec school for Kuo Chuan?
no balloting required <1km, all in.
Balloting required for >1km. -
Gatt:
Hi Gatt, just wondering if its too late to apply for membership now as being a member does not automatically put you in phase 2B. You need a recommendation letter from SHHK to register for P1 under phase 2B and I think that you need to spend considerable amount of hours in doing volunteer work for the Huay Kuan before they will issue the letter to you.qms:
Now that we see more and more parents planning way ahead for their children's schools, it is perhaps a little late that we start this thread only now.
So, parents who are registering in 2017, please fall in here.
Hi All,
My twin boys will be registering in 2017 for 2018 Primary 1 intake. Just sent in my membership application to the SHKH. -

Gatt wrote it in 2015, which is, unfortunately, also too late.Gatt:

Need to sign up at least 3 to 5 years in advance for SHHK schools. -
Supposing you are waiting for your child to be balloted and they are calling the successful applicants one by one. If your childβs name is not called, are you able to withdraw your application from the school and quickly apply at another school? Is there a cut-off time or will they include you for the next phase instead?

Once Phase 2C balloting process (open to public) is on : the next Phase (P2C Supp) will not open for registration, until the next date publicly announced / stated on Moe website.
During the process of balloting at Phase 2C (open to public), inside a school hall or an assigned room :-
You will have to wait patiently until every child's balloting ping pong ball had rolled out from the spinning, rotating golden cage : wait from the first ball, to the last ball, rolled out.
Labelled onto each ping pong ball is a number : representing the child, involved in balloting.
As each ball rolled out of the cage, a P1 Officer standing on stage, spinning & rotating the cage, will announce aloud to all parents seated below the stage, what is the ball number that had just rolled out of the cage, at the same time flashing onto an overhead projector the number of that ball that had just rolled out. The balloting process is transparent openly, for every parent, to witness.
This way, parents (seated below stage, witnessing the balloting process) will know whether is it their own child's ball number or somebody else's ball number been called out, one by one, that had successfully balloted into the school.
The new 2017 P1 registration timetable is not out yet.
Eg
With reference to last year (2016) batch of kids P1 registration timetable, when was Phase 2C balloting conducted ?
Balloting was conducted on Wed, 3 August 2016.
Some schools conducted balloting in the morning, while others conducted in the afternoon.
The exact day, time of balloting, will be notified to parents, who are involved in balloting.
Next, when is the next Phase (ie. Phase 2C supplementary) opened for registration, for those who failed in balloting at Phase 2C, i.e. Their child's ping pong ball had failed to roll out, of the rotating golden cage, during balloting ?
Answer -
The next Phase, Phase 2C Supplementary, opened for P1 registration, 8 days later (more than a week).
Do you see that P2C Supp fall on Thur 11 Aug 2016, that is 8 days later, after P2C balloting had taken place ?
Why 8 days, later ?
Because (11 - 3) = 8 days
In short, those who failed at Phase 2C balloting -
will need to wait for 8 days later, for P2C Supp (next Phase) to open, then can register their child into a school.
