i got one 2012 dragon boy as well. aiming for nan chiau primary school. anyone knows if the school still open for PV ?

Nan Chiau Primary does not have a PV scheme. While you can either join the Grassroots or the clan if you intend to enter via Phase 2B, those routes are already closed for 2018 P1 registration.

I am afraid balloting within 1km for Phase 2C is your only bet.

That is right. Nan Chiau no more PV. Only left with grassroots for 2B. But it is now too late liao.

Can try your luck at 2C.

Springdale will most probably ballot in P2Cs. If you are within 1km, you may be safe. Otherwise, there will be one more round of stress.

Anchor Green would be the safer bet.

should you be unsuccessful in phase 2C, your back up school must be very safe or else you will have another round of stress.

Nope, because the infrastructure of a school (i.e. the number of classrooms) are not scalable. Plus, there are more than enough schools to go around (but they may not necessarily be popular).

my son's former primary school and secondary school opened 1 extra class for the dragon year kids. but i don't know if it will happen again.

There are more than 100+ primary schools in Sg

which specific school in particular, are u asking ?
can call up that specific school, to inquire, whether your year (batch) got special treatment
