All About Full-Time Maids
-
Hi all!
I’m expecting my first child in Sept 2017 - very excited!
However, I’m also interested in hiring a full-time maid to help out around the house (especially my wife). Does anyone have any recommendations? All help is welcomed!
Thanks! -
Hi wisekyworm87
Congrats to parenthood. Is it your first baby. Will your wife be at home to supervise the maid if you hire. Otherwise is better to put your baby in infantcare.
Housework can hire part time helper.
If you need to hire Maid can consider to install CCTV.You might want to consider hiring maid who has experience handling baby. -

Yes, you have to pay her air ticket in cash term. But you do not have to pay her the extra 2 weeks salary.HI,
I have a query
I have a maid who has been with me for 6 years, I will allow her home leave for 2 weeks every 2 years
but this year, she decided not to go home and stay here in Singapore
I know I have to pay her for the home leave of 2 weeks even though she does not return home
but do I have to pay her for the air ticket too?
meaning is the usualy air ticket cost around $300, I will compensate her in cash term since she is not going home? is there such ruling that employer have to compensate maid air ticket if she choose to say in Singapore?
hope to hear from you. thks -

Not sure if it is a market practice but we do compensate 2 weeks' salary on top of the air ticket cash refund, reason being she is still helping around the household during her 'supposedly home leave' period. Different household may have different arrangement, you may check around somemore

Hi
Anyone has experience hiring ex-Qatar helper?
Helper with experience working in middle east country are they OK? -
I think the experience in Qatar is ok, but whether the maid is good or or not is another thing…which we wont know.
-
Hi
May I check with you what are the things which your maid has demand from you? -
most common: higher pay, more off days, wifi, handphone.
