Congrats to your daughter for choosing to study KI! It is definitely an interesting and challenging journey - but definitely worth it! As for study references, you can consider getting IB book on theory of knowledge or reading up on Bertrand Russell's history of western philosophy!

The number of students selected for this subject is only 13 (out of whole corhot) and seriously speaking we got quite worried if she can make it.

Ask the teachers for a recommended reading list. I'm sure there's one. You shouldn't expect that the reading will be very specifically targeted at any specific part of the KI syllabus, but it will encourage deeper thinking and exploration. Is your daughter a reader and thinker? If she is (and presumably the teachers think so, or she wouldn't have been selected), you shouldn't worry.

That's a start. She will need to develop more critical thinking about what she reads, and that will be encouraged during their classes, discussions etc. You can help by engaging her in talking about what she is reading, asking for her opinions, challenging her to consider the issues more deeply, helping her realise that there are few, if any, clearly \"right\" and \"wrong\" answers etc.

My daughter just choose KI in RI. She failed the selection test for RGS/ RI but tried to grab the chance among O level students. There are around 30 KI students in RI this year. On rare occasion, few student may choose to drop KI at end of JC1 for some reasons, although it’s not encouraged. In the end, the final A rate for KI is 80% +/- in RI for past few years.

                Dear Parents,

May I know if any parent can share the experience of the subject Knowledge and Inquiry? DS is Y4 and soon have to submit subject combo.

There is one whole thread discussing about this subject. Since this is not school-specfic, your post will be merged with the https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=68307 thread.

Afaik, it's manageable & just the right timing. fyr: https://rafflespress.com/2017/09/04/please-mind-the-platform-gap-the-road-less-taken-h2-ki/
