SJI sec affiliation COP is in range of 230 or 230+ (cant recall exact point) -consider not low range, that may explain that reason of lower percentage among direct feeder fr pri sch.lee_yl:
I interpret it this way.
For schools like ACS (Baker Road) which takes in almost 100% of their affiliated students (regardless of their t-score), there will be an impact.
Reported in ST that the number of SJI students from its affiliated schools make up close to 40% of the secondary school population.
which are sec sch with no COP for their pri sch? ACS Barker, ST Patrick, St Hilda , St Marg , IJ families???
I believe PLMGS has affiliation too. -

my DD is the 2018 PSLE batch, not sure what kind of impact will she have?
Will start taking cue from this year DSA exercise. In fact I noticed RVHS already changed its DSA Acad criteria last year, some said RGS or RI also changed its DSA criteria since last year? -

But I do agree with u that they have done their background checks with the affiliation schools, so 6-7 are the ones with COP 200 currently. -

Yes, I getting confused over 20%, because there are 2 new changes introduced, simultaneously.

One is referring to the new DSA change : no more generalists Academic dsa.
The 2nd new change is talking about opening up Affliated Secondary schools, to allow more outsiders vacancies (non-Affliated students) Allocated, for more diversity to take place. -
