Hi… I am new here. My son is in P6 this year and he is keen to participate in NUS High DSA. Can anyone please share the experience of taking the exam or any idea on how I can help my son success in the enrollment?

Hi parents, sorry if this has been asked before. If my child is weak in language (low A), good in Maths and Science but has no other credentials like MO, SO, should we even try to DSA?

Why not? Not all schools send their kids to MO or SO anyway. If your kind is really interested in the school, then just go lor.

I would recommend a visit to the school during the open house to let your child have a look, talk to seniors, listen to the Principal's talk etc. The main thing is that the kid must be an independent learner and interested in the sciences and math. If after the open house the child is still keen, give it a go.

Btw why did u have to pay for DSA? I understand that fees are waived for EC members. There should be some emails from the talent devt dept to ur boy's email account.

Thanks iRabbit ! I thot EC members only get a refund of DSA application fee (if selected for Phase 2), so maybe still must pay first ?? Plus my DS might flunk the sci test, so nothing is ever 100%, crossing my fingers. I will ask again during the Open House, looking forward to talk to more students/teachers too :boogie:
