DD1 attended Kovan branch under coach Alvin and Cai Yan. Both are good in the sense that they are engaging and their explanations are clear. -
Hi Yngmng
Is your child still with coach Alvin/Cai Yan?
Are they still in Kovan branch?
Thanks. -

My DD joined another centre for IP Maths tuition. Sorry, am not sure whether the 2 coaches are still with the centre. Perhaps, you could check with the branch.Hi Yngmng

I feel that different centres have different coaches and readly have to attend few lessons to find out if is indeed beneficial to your child. Based on what i had encountered , it seems that if your child is higher ability then maybe more beneficial, if your kid is a slower learner, they assume that the kid already know and is impatient if they do not understand. And worst, they make comparisons with other kids in class instead of explaining and that dimishes their confidence with the subject.

based on your sharing, it seems that certain On-sponge Tr show favortism to High ability students, vs those slower ones in grasping / understanding Maths concepts.

Agreed that certain tuition or enrichment centre may only benefit the higher ability students. When dd attended onsponge, her coaches were dedicated and even helped to solve her school questions. Her marks improved from 70s to 90s. Although may not be totally attributed to onsponge, I think at least it helps to improve her confidence and interest.
