Agree with adafew, DS chinese improves when one of the teachers (PRC teaches Chinese) specially take care / fond of him (though DS in childcare). Believe that \"teacher children chemistry\" does play a part.

        hi rayjay & ca3kids,

What have you selected at the end? My boys used to be in Eduplus at Toa Payoh Safra, they have great teachers! Once they decided to move out and located at Bishan Blk 238, I heard from my colleague it was a disappointment. The teachers that I know used to teach in TP Safra is teaching in their east branch. She is a great teacher, and my elder son was in her class for 2 years and in P2 - my son did 96 for his SA2 and in P3, 89 for P3 SA2. He scored well in his MT compositions for most of the examinations in P3. Till now even he is no longer in Eduplus, the foundation that she had given to my son, is really strong. He is in P4, he did 16/20 for his CA1 composition (can be better but lost marks for wrong strokes and some words he used han yu pin yin). She was very kind to mark my son’s home assessment too (only the comprehension), and my son had great improvement at that section and at most just 2 to 3 marks deducted.

For my younger son, he did not benefit much in the Eduplus for the past 3 years. In fact, I can see a great improvement when he is in Jiang Education - L2 GP Program. I have even gave the school CL HOD to go thru Jiang’s material, she gave me a thumbs up and even recommended a lot of the parents to consider this centre.

I would say it is really individual and importantly you must know where is the weakness of your child and have to focus more on that area.

For me it would be at the other kids in the centre.. ..

Go a little earlier and observe the kiddos and the way they speak 😉

                  Juz me 2 cents

                    Hi...

I have placed my girl in Berries when she was younger. In my case, i used to look out for how conducive the overall environment, is the standard of teaching equivalent to wat u are asking for, and of course, ur child's attitude towards coming there weekly.

                    Hope it helps.. 😉

                      hi mummies,

Thanks for the comments. I’ll keep a lookout for the environment. Hope it turns out well.

after the trial lesson today, I asked my girl if she’s keen in the new class and her reply was she liked her kindy more. I guess its the new environment that she’s just gotten in.

The teacher seems fine and the kids generally paid attention. My girl was able to follow the class but she doesn’t sound keen. I don’t know what to do next, whether to continue or not.

Are there any speech and drama class for chinese language? I’ve only come across english ones. I have a feeling she’s more keen on lessons with more movements.
