If u ask me, Stetan and pirate are the really kee siao ones. LOL.

I heard that.

šŸ˜‚ That's the result of entertaining an Internet troll, especially one who enjoys the drama of EDMW.
But if you have too much time on your hand, entertaining some of these trolls keep you busy (and entertain, as long as you don't think of \"winning\" them).

I asked DD1 if she is keen to go to the open house of St Nic, she said why bother, all will end up in the same (E)JC. Hey, then issnt those in Scgs has a slight advantage (lower t-score needed)?

So unless one is very hardup to do Chinese, why choose St Nic O-level as 2nd choice and not SCGS IP as 2nd choice? Although there is still a chance one can switch from O-level track to IP, one must still need to go through 'entrance test' and it is not guaranteed!

Not just a matter, of being hard-up over Chinese. Chinese is only one single subject, out of Total 8 or 9 Secondary school subjects, depending on whether they include taking 3rd foreign language, Music MEP, Art specialisation, etc or not.

Although both IP program at SCGS and St Nick do end up in the same Eunoia JUnior College, from Year 5 onwards, however the wide difference in school fees paid per month ($ 300 vs $ 28, indicating a difference of $ 272, per month), between an independent SCGS (IP )vs. A government St Nick (IP), does suggest or imply somehow that throughout the 4 years' IP program, from Sec 1 to Sec 4 : in terms of the IP learning exposure content, across total 8 or 9 different Secondary school subjects and in terms of preparing the girls for A level, there could be a difference between them.

Thus, it is natural for parents to query, curiously :
actually, which IP program, between these two, better equip or better prepare the girls for Crucial final exit point (A level), at least during the initial 4 years ?
SCGS, or St Nick IP, better ?

Eg
We do know that in IP (Year 3 & 4), lecturers start to bring down, teach or incorporate certain A level concepts, for certain subjects. Thus, those JAE students who joined Eunoia JC in Year 5, after the orientation is over, they will try to catch up fast, try to be on par with the group of IP students, over what they had missed out

Parents who happen to have two daughters : each, studying in each different IP schools, may be able to spot or tell the difference between them, at the end of Year 4 (IP).
For these parents, in fact, would appreciate very much, if they can share with us here, your daughters' unique IP learning experience(s), from these schools. Or parents, who have daughters, currently studying or had studied before, in either of these schools. Thank you.

I am not sure about the difference between their O-level/IP program. I am just curious why a non-affiliated student would choose SN O-level instead of SC IP as #2nd choice.

For me, if can go IP then go lah, who knows the child may get distracted by BGR or be overtaken by late bloomers & in the end couldn't make it to SN IP or a good JC right? Although dual track, bo bao jiak.

Another reason maybe a handful of them who scored 253 actually got 250 + 3HCL, thus, with 250, they couldn't get in SC O/IP(cut-off 252) ?

Historical data is only a guide and the eventually COP will only be revealed at the end of the exercise.

So, even if she put SC IP as 2nd and missed the COP, if her T-score+3 is higher than what is needed to get into SN O, she will still get in even if she place it at the 6th choice (provided she misses the 3rd to 5th choice's COPs).

No?

I do know of a few girls from the other CHIJs who chose this way -- first choice SN IP, followed by SN O. They just want to go to SN, didn't matter to them which track. Giving up their own IJ affiliation to IJ TP or St Josephs Convent. But they are probably a minority.

Isn't it rated as PG13 and religious leaders have given their advisories? Still need to talk about it? Luckily I'm no fan of those dumb fantasies! :siam:

They give up their own IJ affliation to (IJ TP or IJ St Joseph Convent), because St Nick is a full school : next time, their daughter can come back to study in St Nick primary, through Phase 2A(2) or join 2A(1).

Dumb fantasies - maybe ok.
Dumb fantasies with man kissing man - not ok.
Dumb fantasies set in space with no man kissing man - definitely ok.

Don't feed the troll.
