      RI's was on Thursday morning.

No, not all Y6 students sat for the test, only selected ones did. What about HCI ?

Oops, I got the impression that the whole cohort sat for the test. I asked DS n he said yes but DS is the blur type n he is sick this week too.

Let me post this question on HC home thread. Perhaps the other parents will know.

Some RI students took the test this morning (my daughter did). She said she finished faster than other people - probably not a good sign!

Yes, dd also sat for the test this morning. She also finished very quickly.

Anyway, not hoping for anything.Big number got to sit, but only min number is selected for the psc scholarship. That reminds me the outcome is quite similar to gep selection test, round 1 and round 2 ;)ie number being selected in the end.

roughly, how many RI Year 6 students took the psc scholarship test ?

usually, offer how many psc scholar places ?

I asked DS n he told me this test is not just for PSC scholarships, its also applicable for other government scholarships.

Yeah I also feel it's like GEP test. DS seems to enjoy doing the test but he didn't finish one section 😢

It’s a basic screening test, I guess. Since so many take it, it doesn’t mean all that much. I expect the psychological test is more important? My daughter came home and then rushed out again, so I didn’t get to find out what sort of questions they were asked. In my time, I recall questions about whether we wet the bed, and how often we thought about death!

From what I know and read, those that reach the psychological test stage will be seen by the PSC scholarship selection committee.

Yes, its not only for PSC, those who went for the PSC interview but did not get an offer from them, their applications will be flushed down to the individual ministries and stat board for consideration.

No, the psychological test is conducted by a psychiatrist, one-to-one.

There is such a test? That's new to me!
I was referring to the psychometric test, I guess, the one the students take en masse.

The psychometeric test is more like testing your IQ and reasoning skills.

The psychologist interview is after the psychometric test.
