Thanks again coolitNo prob! chingny and MrsKiasu:)
MrsKiasu, are you referring to Montessori for Children being a preschool? Yes they are..hmm if enrichment, what I hear is good is Seeds. But some parents - very ks ones, send their kids for normal kindy and montessori kindy also in the afternoon session. Haha my friend is one of them, Montessori for Children has afternoon session quite late so its possible. But dont go that route if possible unless your child can tahan the intensity..
Oh no, I dont even dare to think of that level of kiasuness :nailbite:
After your first posting on the ctr, I went to check on the link and read of kiasu2008..hope her dd is better now  -
Oh actually I did not know about kiasu2008 until your post, went to read…ya really hope her dd is ok…

Update on Mindchamps reading
Dear All Parents, my son in P1 was in Mindchamps reading for 4months. The sales lady who sold the program to me at TPY was a very capable and convincing salesperson. I asked around my friends whom tried MC and they said do not bother to waste money. I decided to try anyway because of the convincing pre sales analytics.
After 4 months, my kid failed his school english exam. 2 months into the program, my kid enjoyed the class because the teacher was good fun for obvious reasons the levels were too low from mismatched assesment.
Many times, I wrote emails and met teachers; put in more feedback to MC teachers than they ever did in return for me to help my kid (this being my prior specific request for daily keynote in points to no avail until it is too late). After 2mths, I asked to reasses my kid and got \"adjusted\" to the assesed levels but there was zero follow up to update progress. In the end I see my kid failed exam in school. The teacher verbally conveyed my kid was doing very well no problem at all.
I think they all are just lost in the clockwork factory to enrol more students. Have a look at the lobby where parents are waiting; it is packed to the brim and almost suffocating with shoe racks.
Lessons for all who wish to try MC, make sure your request is specifically written down in the application form and signed by both parties. I would recommend for all to further spell out the guarantee of quantified improvement because it is promoted as an excellent program endorsed by countless successful students so there is no problem for money back guarantee at the very least in half.
In current madness of tuition, it is natural to enrol and see for yourself but just make sure they put the money back guarantee in written (if the trusted program was so good). I believe some cases will be favourable of MC as in any other programs. Unfortunately, in my kid's case and my own experience shows the total opposite.
Finally sat down to \"discuss\" but was inserted an exit form and feedback for me to sign; the feeling was obviously boiling to move on.
The cake was the final refund cheque that was sent 2 months later after leaving. And guess what.. they could not even get the name correct on the cheque and asked to return the cheque in order to justify to finance to reissue a new cheque...maybe in another 2 months. This lack of detail on admin and carelessness nail the coffin for them.
Mindchamps or moneychamps? I remind myself to move on. :slapshead: -
Hello Mommies and Daddies
Do you know any enrichment centre that uses Letterland? -
Hi, any comments about Jan & Elly at Rail mail vs I-creative learner at Clementi? which is a better school for 4 year old trying to pick up phonics, reading and writing? Thanks!!
-
Hi annalee, I always recommend Learning Point to friends for pre school phonics. The approach use by LP is really very effective and engaging for the little ones. My 2 kids have no issue doing well in EL by the time they entered P1.
The weekend classes are always full though. You may enquire directly from the centre for next year schedule.
