Honey Stars/ Koko Crunch = 早餐谷粮 !
My son is also going for it.
Very tricky!

[/quote]Congrats to your DS! Have fun.
No leh, in the first place, I do not think that my DD1's school even participated.
DD1 is more of a maths and science person so I was looking at Science Olympiad but I think her school also did not take part as I couldn't find any link between her school and the SO organized by NUSH.

The bilingual contest is open to students from both Sg and Malaysian schools, not just to Sg schools only ?
The Malaysian Chinese students' Chinese are very strong too -

Not all primary schools participate in Sg Science Olympiad.
Congrats to your DS! Have fun.

Only those schools who are strong in Science : then will send in school representatives, to participate.
You may call up the organiser for Science Olympiad (can google yourself) : find out if your daughter's school had participated, or not.
Ask :
is it every year participate, or not really, depending on the strength of those students in the group, participating, decided by the HOD Science in your school, whether that year want to send in or not ?
also, do you know what are the strength(s) or weakness of your daughter's school, against other primary schools in Sg, when it comes to competition, at inter-primary school level ?
think usually GEP schools + non-GEP schools (with boys) participate in SO, as boys tend to be strong in Science. But, this my own personal opinion (may be wrong)
(because schools won't want to send in representative every single year, year after year, batch after batch, but never win anything. Schools also want \"face\") -

Not all primary schools participated in Sg primary schools Science Olympiad. (SPSO)
Congrats to your DS! Have fun.

With reference to latest or the most recent last year (2016) batch of P6 students (born 2004) :
no mention of SCGS, inside this list below, when SPSO was organised by NUS High.
http://www.nushigh.edu.sg/qql/slot/u196/Announcement%20of%20SPSO%20Final%20Results%202016%281%29.pdf
Referring to above list of participants inside, did you notice Who are the ones that often won Gold ?
Students, studying in GEP schools
(can do a count)
did u count The number of p6 students from Non-GEP schools, who won Gold ? These mostly won either Silver or Bronze.
(can do a count)
so, Who or which are the Non-GEP schools, that had participated in last year (2016), SPSO ?
Total : how many primary schools are there, in Sg ?
More than 100 ?
Out of more than 100+, apart from the 9 GEP schools that participated, how many Non-GEP schools participate last year (2016) SPSO ?
29 Non-GEP schools
Out of 100+, 29 Non-GEP schools participated : do u think is a lot, or few (in your opinion)?
In alphabetical order :
these primary schools participants in SPSO, are -
Admiralty primary
Anchor Green primary
Anderson primary

see !
within the CHIJ family Girls' schools family : which is the school, that is strong in Science ?
