      Hello parents,

I have a question to ask.. so we are not Singapore Citizens but PRs.
The 2 schools in our 1km radius are Bendemeer primary and St. Andrew's Jr.
I studied in Bendemeer primary for a brief period in Pri 6 when we moved to Sg. The school has said if I can prove I studied there, they will consider us for phase 2A.
I am not sure if we will get admission in St. Andrew's since we are PR...but I would like to ballot
would it be too risky to give up the Bendemeer primary seat and try for the ballot?

      Thanks in advance
St Andrew has places for SC only in both Phase 2B (assuming you qualify) and Phase 2C. Thus, there's no chance for you to even participate in the ballot.

Soon, this thread will get very active.

I just submitted the survey form for siblings for Phase 1 through my firstborn. It said we will likely get the actual Phase 1 application form in Apr/May. So early? I know Phase 1 starts at end of June.

Hi, can i ask, if i register my child successfully at Phase 2b, but later on i decided to try another school in phase 2c, how do i withdraw from the phase 2b school? Can i withdraw online or must i go down to the phase 2b school personally?

You will most likely be required to go down to the school to withdraw. Only one parent needs to be present, but you must show both NRICs.

Unfortunately as someone had pointed out, you won't get any chance to register for St Andrew as they always conduct balloting for SC in both 2B and 2C.

As for Bendemeer, you don't have to register in 2A as it usually still has enough vacancies for SPR in 2C. But again it won't make any difference since you're SPR, so you don't have much choice as the popular schools in your area (St Andrew & Hong Wen) only have vacancies for SC in 2C.

By end of Phase 2C :-
all St Andrew Junior Primary 1 seats due for admission, would have been snapped up by SC children.

Due to her affliation status to St Andrew Secondary school, St Andrew Junior is popular, for SC boys.

As such, As u are PR : -
zero chance for you, to even ballot for a chance, into St Andrew Junior.

Do you still have your old report card or PSLE certificate, to prove that you were an ex-student of Bendemeer primary ?
If Yes, can proceed to enrol your son into Bendemeer, under Phase 2A2 (for ex-students).

                    SC : Singapore citizenship children

You may observe past 2016 historical trend P1 enrolment, for St Andrew Junior & other schools :

thanks for all the replies… I do have my PSLE record to show I studied in Bendemeer, so I guess I will just go that route.

No point in trying for St.Andew’s since we arnt SC yet (in waiting but don’t think will get approval before P1 admissions)

                      thanks everyone
