Hi,

Went to the relevant school sites to check on DSA. However, the schools did not give us a checklist of information/documents to prepare for online application. Can someone share on this? This should be in addition to the child's portfolio that they will be preparing? Thanks.

u can call the schools to ask what other information they needed to prepare for the online application. I realise that some schools only want the parents to submit the application online first and sometimes, some personal statement/testimonials from their pri sch teachers...

Understand that we able to apply DSA for a few schools. If let say my child is lucky enough and was selected by more than 1 school to admit via DSA, do we decide which school we want or MOE will allocate?

RI Half-day Programme and HCI DSA interview are on the same day which is 8 Jul :?: . Dose this mean we have to choose one over another in early stage? :stupid:

Deliberately or coincidentally, RI half day programme always clash with HCI DSA interview ... lol. You can still go ahead and apply for both schools. Last year, there are sufficient numbers of parents/ students who feedback to RI and the school managed to push back the half day programme timing such that there is sufficient time to rush from HCI to RI. That said, I cant promise if the schools will do adjustment this year as well...

Would like to ask experienced parents here as this year dsa quite a fair bit of change. So, if a school is asking for Mathematics Talents ie Platinum or Gold Medallists in the Singapore Math Olympiad for Primary Schools, or other relevant achievements, would you try to apply if you are not Platinum or Gold medallist? Is it a waste of time to try? I am thinking the school is quite specific in terms of who they see as talent. This is in addition to another change which is the places available for dsa will be cut, no longer 50% like previous year, so chances of getting dsa places will be even less this year.
