just a quick feedback on marymount:

my elder graduated there and back then was great. more outings, and school fees covers all lessons during the curriculum time.
when it comes to ,y younger daughter(still in marymount now k2), there is barely any outing at all. and they have inserted gym, computer n classes during the curicumlum time. (for the elder it was optional after school hours). and you have to sign up and pay extra 100plus per term for each classess, otherwise when the those who signed up go for classes, yours will stay in class do coloring etc.
during birthday celebration when i went and waited outside the class, the class was very noisy and disorganised. and not changing cos its her last year, i wouldnt send my 3rd kid there if i have one.

my 2 daughters are from marymount and the younger is graduating this year.

yesterday she went for concert practice and came back w scratches all over under her arms. many were red and swollen. they were apparently from the sequins on the concert dress. she told the teacher and the teacher just told her tomorrow will be ok and we weren’t even informed. On top of that, we paid $135 for the dress and she only wore it once yesterday and the veil around the waist was already torn and there was a ribbon that was supposedly sewn on has also fallen and we had to pin it back.

not long before they has a kidzania overnight stay program on a school day and school for 2 days was cancelled because the kids will be there 2 days. thing is this, the combined enrollment for morning and afternoon session was about 60 ppl and the kidzania trip was for only 30 ppl based on first come first serve! meaning if you submitted your form later(or happened to count your form later even if you submitted first, which i did submit on time), your child will miss school 2 days while they are at kidzania if you form reach late…its regular school days!. i had to make noise before my child got to go and I DID NOT SUBMIT THE FORM LATE AT ALL.

then every year we will go to the class to celebrate my daughters BD w goody bags etc and can really see the discipline deterriating. the kids were so rowdy and noisy when we were in the class preparing the cake etc. the kids weren’t even distracted by us or looking at us but running all over while the teacher was teaching( a few poor good kids were just sitting there feeling bored, which included my duaghter waiting for the other kids to settle). and the teacher just told me sorry that the kids are like this everyday!!!

have a check at the change of principal. the principal we had was good in 2013 when my elder was there, many learning journey trips was things organised were fair and good for the kids.

now it is just terrible. its the last year for my daughter so i decide to complete it. but i will not send children there anymore.

My boy was there from 2013-2016 from Pre-N to K2. He had fun going to sch and loved and made many friends with whom we still keep in touch with till today. The teachers we had were nice and good. There was slight variance amongst the years but generally was OK. Im intending to register my daughter soon despite us living so much further away.

Just enrolled my DD for Pre-N next year…However, the current sch bus operator doesnt go to Wdlands where we are at and that seems to be a challenge…might have to back out if there is no alternative transport by Sept 2018. I dun understand why cant the bus operators just comply with the school set criteria for students and it seems the sch also cant do anything about it unless there are more kiddos from Wdlands. Any reliable bus service providers?

Hi, I feel that your problem is not related to the change in leadership. Taking into consideration the educators managing your child's class, they seem to lack good classroom management strategies. They are not effective to manage the children so the problem lies with the teachers and let's not forget children are very ill-disciplined at home nowadays as they are too pampered and bubble-wrapped by parents. Thus, Teachers are afraid of reprimanding children too severely in case of parents' complaints going to principal.

Marymount Kindergarten is a holistic kindergarten. It has a good reputation. Thus, I feel that you should talk to the principal about your concerns.
