      Ammonite

Haha... am old fashion and stubborn
I guess the design and layout of that library just doesn't click well with me
I would still have to visit it since it is more convenient than the library in West Mall
I decided to pick up reading again instead of focusing on \"oppa\"
      😄

My colleague told me it was super boring. He has to walk face down like a tortoise

Other than bathing, eating and sleeping, he has to lie face down. After medication, he should be tired. Son has an orthodontist appt 2moro....I have to be there as he needs to get a procedure done. Will leave him at mum's place so that he doesn't act hero when alone.
When lying face down, he can listen to songs. This is a difficult period for him but no other choice.

Retina detachment is due to old age?

Usually due to high myopia and strain on the eyes. Exhaustion.

Janet, that sounds serious. Take good care of your dh. Wish him a speedy recovery.

Oral medication every 6 hours. Eye drops every 3 hours. I am doing what I can. But this patient has to cooperate too. I have to check on him every now and then to see that he is lying face down especially first 2 weeks.

Janet , hope he is recovering well.

It must be boring and stressful for him too, I guess he would be worried too.
There is only so much music one can hear. you can help him create a playlist on you tube - like if he likes short films, talk shows or audio books. Rope in your children to spend sometime with him, one to one. Since he is at home, might as well as make it a bonding session for them.

You take care too. Be prepared for frayed nerves, you will have much less me time , add that to your tensions and there will be moments when you get irritated over small things. Try to keep things in perspective.

                Hi Sun,

I have to monitor the clock to give him medication and eye drops. Every 15 minutes I check on him to see what he is doing. My nerves are more frayed bcos he is supposed to rest his eyes but he is not. Doctor’s instructions to rest and lie face down especially in the first 1 week. This patient very disobedient. Son tells me he always catches hubby surfing net. And when I walk in, hubby switches off.

                    Janet

Sorry, I can’t help but laugh
The whole family is checking on your hubby; sure he finds no fun
Can he take any tonic like 生鱼精 to help the recovery process?

Have you tried borrowing ebooks from NLB? I love them! Can borrow any time on any day, don't have to worry about overdues, can increase font size (important for older eyes!). I use a no-glare ereader, not a tablet.

May I ask how to borrow ebooks? Need to pay?
Somehow I still prefer to holding the book physically
