Very lucky if that is the LAST seat.Momof2childs:
If odd number of seats are left, then the extra one goes to which phase? Even 1 seat matters:)
from my understanding, twins/triplets are considered under 1 seat....if that extra 1 seat goes to triplets for eg, imagine the happiness.
If not, all the parents will be glaring, cos they will take up 2 extra seats, reducing the chances of 2 other kids. -
Twins, triplets, quadruplets … all count as 1 seat
-
No I think Orb and nicnac are correct. That’s why as multiples get more & more common over the years, us parents of non-multiples get even more stressed.

Statistically, not possible to get more & more common. If anything, it should get less and less common with declining birth rate... -
floppy:
My rationale is, the age of mothers giving birth is getting older statistically. And I heard higher maternal age leads to higher chance of conceiving multiples. Both natural and via IVF.zac's mum:

that's my understanding. whether 2, 3 or 4, they count as 1 seat...can't possibly split them up. i know of someone whose triplets got into nanyang through balloting. 1 seat, all 3 kids in. -
zac's mum:
with women getting older and receiving fertility treatments, doctors will put in more than 1 embryo but there is a cap, in case the embryos split and the woman ends up with 5 or even 6 kids :yikes:

seldom the case of multiples for natural conception.
imagine the family of twins or triplets get the lucky ball if balloting takes place...the number of eyes glaring at them. -
janet88:
I thought it depends on the parents whether want to count them as 1 or 3? I might be mistaken though...hojicha:

Orb:
You are right. Also, if multiple births are balloted in at an earlier Phase as the \"last ball\", they will take up vacancies from the latter Phases. It is only in the final Phase where the school will have to request MOE to open up extra spaces for the triplets.... If there is a ballot, then the 3 children share one balloting chance. If their ball is picked, 3 vacancies will be taken up. However, the special rule is if they are the last ball to be picked, then all 3 will get in.
But i stand corrected. Maybe someone can clarify? -
andrew1:
what are the differences between all the SAP schools ?
I know! I know!
They all got different names.
Wait... you ask for differences, with a \"s\"... hmmm...
They all got different names, different uniforms, different school badges, different principals...
