Usually in P2B there are about 60 seats for ACJS and 30 seats for ACPS.

So for ACJS it's already lower than last year while for ACPS there's still hope to have extra seats.

Yes, it means no balloting for both ACSs. Good news for those eyeing ACPS as there are 40 & 39 seats available for 2B & 2C, which is more than last year. But not so good news for those eyeing ACJS as the number of seats decreases to 51 only. This will swing the applicants living within 1km to both schools and might force ACPS into balloting.

Note: Corrected the no of seats as the previous calculation was not based on final figure from MOE. Apologies...

It's the remaining seats from Phase 2A2 divided equally for Phase 2B & 2C. Since the reserved seats for both phases are 20 each, just add half (rounded up) of the remaining seats to Phase 2B and the other half (rounded down) to Phase 2C.

The balance of seats from Phase 2A2 is 61, so just add 31 to Phase 2B to make 51 and 30 to Phase 2C to make 50. This is about the same as 2016 (49 for Phase 2C) but significantly lower than 2015 (58 for Phase 2C). For both years, balloting was for those within 1km.

More importantly don’t get caught out. All it takes is for one set of parents to walk in in the last minute and everyone will have to go through balloting.
