Yes, they have open house, before primary school registration starts. Keep a lookout for the announcement on the school website, around Jun-Jul.

Hi everyone!


I’m keen to enroll my child to OLGC. It’s really abit Kiasu coz she’s not due for Pri 1 till 2019. I’m an old IJ girl but not OLGC. Do you know how I can increase my chances of getting in? We’re within 1km at my inlaw’s place (currently) but will be moving slightly further away next year to AMK and within 2km. Can I join alumni?

Was wondering as a CHIJ school, why isn’t the school as popular as some of the neighbourhood schools around the areas?
ie. no balloting required at phase 2c for the past few years.

Accessibility and proximity to home is also an important criteria when choosing a school.

I am actually contemplating between Teck Ghee (hub’s pri sch) & OLGC. 2 schools of totally different culture but equal dist. from my place. Hence, am looking for some opinions.

I'm assuming you have gotten a place in Teck Ghee under P2A2. Both schools are of similar standings, i.e. not top of the rankings but not too bad either. However, OLGC is affiliated to a secondary school and is an all-girls school. Thus:

If you have only daughter(s) - OLGC.
If you have boy(s) as well - Teck Ghee.
