On that balloting day, they will all have a common goal, even for the twin's parents, that is for the twin's number not to be called... Only then, all 30 of the kids can get into the school. Once, the twin's number gets called, ONE will be denied a place

      twins/triplets considered 1 place.

If they are picked early in the balloting exercise, they will still take up 2/3 vacanies. But If they get picked for the last place available, they will all get in.

As Long as you have all the documents, both ICs, only one parent need to do the registration.
how moe calculate distance from home?

I would assume they use a ruler.

you dont have to be so sarcastic
Center of school to center of block. In highschool, we learn that distance between two bodies is the distance between their centers. Example, If the gate of school is 1 km from your lift, but centers are 1km 5 meters apart, I am sorry for you.

            Use onemap.sg

for certain condo/hdb blocks, they could fall under the 1km radius to the school...even within the same estate, the inner blocks may be out of 1km. so if suay suay staying out of 1km, then your child would have to ballot if need arises.
i still remember this because back then during son's registration, some of his kindergarten classmates were staying in same condo...1 got in under 1km but there was another one who had to ballot because the block was out of 1km range.

Even for landed housing, similar can happen. I heard of 2 neighbours living just next to each other, 1 was inside the cutoff distance, the other was outside. Obviously There needs to be a line drawn somewhere, but it sucks if youโ€™re affected.

I was very surprised when I saw this in onemap too. Some condos are \"cut\" in half. Very dangerous to be in the wrong block.

Yes indeed. Eg. my friend's block in SeaView condo in Marine Parade is just outside the 1km mark for Taonan. So next time before you select your block, you need to use OneMap to determine distance first!

Imagine we view the flat and tell the owner \"i dont want your block, i want the block beside you\". ๐Ÿ˜‚
