probably gene or own body functions play a part too.. i went to look at our latest report done less than half year ago. dh ldl/total cholesterol also not good. mine within range and i eat fats since very young.touchwood.

from the quick reading last night..reducing weight may help too. your bmi ok?

Just over 23. Probably need to cut weight, but it's easier said than done!

I am sure you eat sensibly, but try a fitness app to monitor your intake. It might give you a some perspective.
i dont like calorie counting friends. I didnt believe in those apps, I felt it wasnt painting a right picture. One - It was too calorie focused not nutrient focused. It is important to eat right, all the more when one is doing strength training. After all 100 cal whether from a can of soda, or a whole meal bread or 1 banana or a cup of chick peas, the app would treat all equal. Two how accurate is the calorie input, I mean a cup of bee hoon you make and I make could have different calories - may be I use lot of butter etc. Three how diligent is my updating, let us face I may not be doing it properly all the time .

But I still started when a couple of friends swore by it - since I wanted to lose a couple of inches and my weight has been stagnating.
I used it, the first week was hard , but the enthusiasm was there. It was like being on a budget. So that made me more cautious of what i eat at night. What I realised was I am actually eating well within the calories limit ( with target to lose 1 kg in a month), but my carb intake hits max, sometimes exceeds . One of the reason was i take 3-4 servings fruits + that sugar in my twice a day cup of tea (my weakness). And the reason my calorie intake was less than the limit even with this much carb was my fat in take was low.
So since the last month I have gradually increased my fat in take happily and reduced carbs by 10-20% . Even though the quantity wise I have reduced, I dont feel hungrier or something.
Will this pay off, , not sure . Maybe in 3 months i will feedback, my body is very lazy,
changes are very slow.provided I can maintain this reduction in carbs and exercise

After I finish this pack of 2-in-1 coffee, I am switching back to kopi-o kosong. My sweet tooth - ๐Ÿ˜ข

I felt my pants somehow less tight this week, most probably due to cut down snacking during the day n night as I eat better for lunch.

            phtthp:

Come March 2018, once the twins are born, you'll be kept very busy, helping to sterilise milk water bottle, wash baby nappy, etc.

By then, there will be 7 ladies in your house :
(Wife + 4 girls, mother-in-law, maid to help out)
FF, you're going to be super busy...fortunately you have MIL and her sister to help out...or logistics at home will be terrible. quickly transfer your daughters to a school here so that they get adjusted before the babies are born.

My body response fast to calorie, I can easily drop near 1kg if I have less sugar intake in a day . I like protein coz no impact on my weight.

I am more wary of the other ingredients in the coffee which I can't pronounce the names :nailbite:
Hubby read an article that sugar is a new \"fat\".

If I am not wrong, coffee beans are roasted with margarine and sugar for local coffee powder.
I love coffee for its fragrance. Maybe I should just smell it, rather than drink it :rotflmao:

i buy palembang coffee powder. it's a mixture of 2 different beans. i love to sit at the table to smell the coffee and slowly sip it. without this cup of coffee, i would be a zombie.

For me, Me time is spending time outdoors. Itโ€™s rejuvenating connecting with nature. Watching the sunrise and the sunset. A totally different vibe from the city. You ought to try it too!
