Marymount Convent

She can read quite well, in Chinese as well as English. Been in Berries for a while, as well as MFS since she was a baby. Her main complaint is that English grammar is more complicated than Chinese. I understand that the classes in P1 and P2 are grouped according to the age of the kids. Is that correct? Makes sense.

Hi. I am considering Marymount for my DD for P1 next year based on the reviews in this forum. We drove past the school and saw that she would need to walk 1 big round from the MRT to the school. Called the school and was informed that they are taking to LTA to have a back gate that leads to the MRT. Hope that comes through.
It is a very difficult decision as we would like her to have a school that is balanced between academic and values. This is something that did not happen in my son’s school.
As the school is quite a distance via the Circle line, 20 min ride on the train, we are torn between CHIJ Katong, Canossa Convent and Marymount. All good schools but leaning more towards Marymount.
Any views. -

Between the three, choose the one most convenient (i.e. nearest) to you. None of the three are remotely close to one another.

My granddaughter enrolled in Marymount yesterday. We think the school will be a good fit for her.

If u are staying in the east, then take CHIJ Katong primary : more convenient, Affliated to a Secondary school, better -
After much consideration decided to register DD today at Marymount Convent as we feel the school is the best fit for her. Looking forward to getting to know fellow parents whose daughters will be in P1 next year.
