I'm asking for next year's registration: based on this year's outcome, would you risk balloting at phase 2B and try again for phase 2C if can't get in for ballot? Or would you go for a sure-in phase 2B, still good school but further away from home?

      Too vague.
How far is far? 1km, 2km or 10km?
And balloting in Phase 2B at what distance this year?
Lastly, the schools? They are not all the same.

The sure in 2B school when it comes to 2C is sure in too?
If yes, you can risk balloting at 2B. Otherwise secure your school at 2B. Don't waste your 2B chance.

The website says my details are not available and it is asking me to go to school to make manual application

I am feeling like an unidentified spy, James Bond

Thanks Zac's Mom. The thing is my first choice 2B school is just opposite my mom's house so easy to fetch. The sure-in 2B is much further :(. Don't know want to gamble n hope for the best of not

near your mother house and not your house you are in 1-2km, not 1km (unless you also near your mother house). so the risk in 2B/2C/2CS increases.
be happy you have 2x2B choice. πŸ™‚

It would be easier if Baekenbae just provide us with the names of the P2B and P2C schools, as well as their respective distance group πŸ˜‚

                  what is 'sure in'?
hi parents, whether it's 2B or 2C, don't waste any chance. it's not easy to fall under 2B.

Gentle reminder that if you use your mom's address, you will need to do a statutory declaration and the distance will be set at 1-2km even if your mom's home is 10m away from the school. Have you checked if the school will regularly ballot at <1km? If so, then you have no chance.

Thanks everyone! Sorry I should have provided the details.

We are within 1km to Aitong and can do 2B. But ATS needs to ballot even for <1km and most definitely for 2C. Our 2CS options are not good.
should we still try for ATS or look further out for 2B but >2km and no balloting history this year like a Pei Chun if we can do PV? I think we don’t have a chance for phase 2C for Pei Chun for >2km, or risk balloting again which I hope not to.

I assume your possibility of 2B is due to SHHK. Given that you are confident of securing a recommendation, you must be a old timer in the association πŸ˜‚

For ATS, you should try balloting at P2B. If you failed to get in via P2B, you should look elsewhere for P2C. P2Cs option around that part of town is :yikes: (unless your child is a girl, then MCS is a viable option at P2Cs).
