Thanks Zac's mum!zac's mum:
How long will ballot take place? Thanks!
It is a ballot-in system. Meaning they will draw 39 balls, one by excruciating one. So at least 39 minutes.
So they will one by one call the name of the child stated on the ball?
Well they will call out the number on the ball first. Then verify according to the list and call out the full name of the child. Parents are asked to note down their child's unique number before everythjng starts, just in case any error is made. -
Anyone know the latest figure for acjs?
-
Remember to remind whoever that fail to put in the waitlist. Same priority, let’s try to make all go in.

Thanks! that is very helpful!
In terms of the total number of the applicants, they will only announce on the date of balloting, not before?
Just now, based on what happened on site, it should be 40, but the school said they cannot announce now. -

If put in waitlist, the child will still needs to go 2C Supplementary with another school first?
On what circumstances they will let the ballot out child in?
Many thanks! -
anyone have final figures for ACSJ?

sigh was really hoping maybe 2014 could have repeated itself this time, even if just one spot for outside 2km, it would have been better than none. -

Lexy - Can you elaborate on this waitlist option? Can waitlist request starts now? Thanks. -
Sure they played by the rules but no doubt they are unwise.
All SC <1km for ACSJ and ACSP could have been zero risk, and those between 1-2km could have had a chance to ballot.floppy:
The same drama happens every year, but:
1. They weren't late.
2. They play by the rules.
3. It's a risk that everyone has to assume.
It could also be said that those in 1-2km lost their glimmer of hope and weren't able to withdraw to switch schools, thus relegating them to P2Cs. -

It should be 40. It won't suddenly change. But what I meant was that they will announce whether any twins. If there are, usually they will share 1 ball. If that ball is picked, both twins will get in. -
Since 40 for 39, Any twins will sure go in. The rest we are not entirely sure.
