We need to ballot at SCGS.
How does the balloting work? Can grandparents attend on my behalf?
Hi ksjac, do you mean SCs less than 1km need to ballot? Can i have the breakdown for SGCS? Thanks -
kidsmama:
At 4.45pm it was announced 57 applicants (<1km) for 55 seats. Someone came in at 4.10pm to apply and it pushed to 57.ksjac:

If ballotting is unsuccessful, besides waiting for Phase 2CS (which doesnโt work for me as every other school is more than 2km away), can I approach the school directly to take in my girl? This is for SCGS, which now has 57 for 55 places.

Nope.
You must go through P2CS, and if you still can't get a school after P2CS, either approach any schools with vacancies before P3 or request MOE assistance to place you in a school with vacancies. -

I dont understand why they dont ballot out if the oversubscription is less than 100%. Easy to announce the 5 who dont get in than the 78 who do. And saves people the tension of waiting.
Probably to let people feel better: \"lucky\" to be picked? It also lets people save face? It's horrible to be called publicly by full name and number as \"the suay one who didn't get a place\" right? -

\"the suay one who didn't get a place\" -> That's a good way of putting it!Kiasu_insg:

All SC is in, balloting for PR -
I saw earlier that acsj 45 SC <1km all in. So 5 slots up for grabs for 20 additional applicants. Anyone knows if ballot is for SC 1-2km / >2km?
