      Okosbaba,

      It is best to send the maid away once you find anything suspicious. I don’t think it is necessary to go through the trouble to install a video camera, and it is expensive. When at work, are you able to watch them every second of the day ? Once you stop looking at them, even for a few mins, the maid might have done something already. Also note that it is illegal to install cameras in the toilet.

      If you don’t see anything from the camera, it does not mean that your maid is treating your son well. Even if you see something, the damage is already done and it will only be heartbreaking.

      It is never safe to leave a baby/toddler alone with a maid at home, the video camera does not help.

      My advise is to find someone reliable to supervise the maid. If not, find a good babysitter and send the maid together with the child to the babysitter. I know this costs extra money but it is a safer option.

          puensuan:
          I have used DLink camera before it requires me to engage third party IT professional to configure my router in order to remote access. Later, my friend recommended an IP camera (WELL-503w) provided by Security Hub Pte Ltd. It is very easy to use. Simply plug in and use. The thing I like is I don't require to engage third party IT professional to configure the router as they charge $150 per visit. You can contact Freddy Tan (9748-0880)

          Hi,

          Could you pls elaborate more about the cost and product?

          Thank

              using Foscam 2 models. 8910W and 8916W.

              so far think 8910 still the best. both actually no video issue. just that not sure why 8916 likes to turn on its own and keep panning from left to right and right to left without anyone touching it or controlling it.

              easy to use and configure. :rahrah:

                      It actually depends on whether you are running it wirelessly or you intend to run the LAN cable to the router/NVR. But definitely there will be the cables to supply power to the IP camera.

                        i’m lost… i tried fixing a dlink cam in the living room and have it connected via lan cable. but intend to get another in the inner part of the house, which is further from the wifi main point. If wireless, the connection might not be good and hang alot of the time.

                        speed will really depend on the wifi subscription right? anyone uses lan in the rooms too? or wireless already?
