phtthp:
The no. of kids being successful in Nov can be counted with fingers and toes....and I believe they will also need exceptional overall results.notfreemom:
For those who are keen, do try to apply after the result. My son didn't manage to be shortlisted but he did well for psle. He applied again after psle result and was shortlisted without interview. He is now doing well and adapting well, and coping well too. So, Don't give up! :xedfingers:
So means rejected DSA cases now in July, by NUS High : still can apply via PSLE T-score later on, in Nov, 4 months later ?
This gives hope to rejected cases, doesn't it ? -

2272 applicationsinfo : last year application for NUS high was 2272 , then about 400 were selected to selection camp
about 120 were CO , then 80 were asked for interview ( 80% of this will get CO and waiting list )
add up to about 184 , but eventually some of the wailting list did not put NUS high as first choice , thus it will be less than 20 vancancies left for supplementary intake after PSLE , last year cut off point for supply intake is about 260 and above with A* in maths & science.
184 CO and WL
DSA success rate = 8% -

But you cannot stop anyone from applying, can you?...so in reality, donch have to care too much about those numbers. If you do well in the selection test and camp, you will get in among the 184.

if one is not interested in MO or SO, one should not apply NUSH though one is interested in Maths generally?

Sure, why not? MO can be very boring. -
I read somewhere that SO and MO competitions are compulsory in NUSH?

MO and SO are not compulsory but encourage. It is good that school is open to all who are keen to participate, unlike in some primary school where usually only selected students are able to participate.

I heard the expectation is very high and majority of the students achieve 100/100 in tests and exams. Some says it’s a pressure cooker. I’d like to hear comments from parents whose kids are currently studying here.

I think nush is probably the most relax among the IP schools
