Marymount Convent

AprilDad:
Currently, where are u staying ?Hi. I am considering Marymount for my DD for P1 next year based on the reviews in this forum. We drove past the school and saw that she would need to walk 1 big round from the MRT to the school. Called the school and was informed that they are taking to LTA to have a back gate that leads to the MRT. Hope that comes through.
It is a very difficult decision as we would like her to have a school that is balanced between academic and values. This is something that did not happen in my son's school.
As the school is quite a distance via the Circle line, 20 min ride on the train, we are torn between CHIJ Katong, Canossa Convent and Marymount. All good schools but leaning more towards Marymount.
Any views.
If u are staying in the east, then take CHIJ Katong primary : more convenient, Affliated to a Secondary school, better -
After much consideration decided to register DD today at Marymount Convent as we feel the school is the best fit for her. Looking forward to getting to know fellow parents whose daughters will be in P1 next year.

Thanks Floppy. We were quite happy to see the girls running and playing happily after school.Roberta:

So exciting. We got the official letter from the school. My daughter will be a Marymount girl.
The orientation is on 17 Nov. :rahrah: -
Hope to meet all 2018 P1 parents during the orientation. Excited!

Hi, I am an ex student of RGPS and my DD is now 3, as our home is at boon keng, I afraid the commute for her would be far.
There are a couple of pri schools I am considering, but am unsure if I will waste the 2A chance of getting her in RGPS. Marymount convent in Toa Payoh is nearer, but would be tough to get in without any PV I suppose? She is 3 now, isit early to consider PV to ensure her ballot chances for Marymount convent? or CHIJ Primary Toa Payoh, which is just within 4km away from my house -

Marymount Convent often has more seats than applicants in Phase 2C. Hence, it shouldn't be an issue to get in without PV. CHIJ TP, on the other hand, would probably require you to PV as the school will ballot < 2km.Hi, I am an ex student of RGPS and my DD is now 3, as our home is at boon keng, I afraid the commute for her would be far.

Register her in 2A first. Then monitor the vacancies in 2C. If high chance to get in, can always withdraw from RGPS then register at new school. Marymount usually no ballot at 2C.Hi, I am an ex student of RGPS and my DD is now 3, as our home is at boon keng, I afraid the commute for her would be far.

My girl got in at 2CS. I love the vibes there, the girls looks well behaved. Even security guard lady also very nice :rahrah:
