Me Time!

Jennifer:
the weather has been rather hot and humid. my resistance has been lowered.Janet,
I think you have over stressed yourself from taking care of your parents, then your hubby, followed by your dd.
Go for a short trip once everyone recovers well enough to travel.
You deserve a good getaway.
thanks for your kind advice, jennifer. when everyone is well again, that is the best medicine. don't need any getaway.
meanwhile, hubby has 2 appointments at SNEC next week. -
Glad that I powered through my sickness by drinking Aquarius with lemon juice.
Not much ME time as these 2 weeks will be rough. Will be soon on the road again to Australia and Taiwan again. And also arranging with my family to return to my birthplace in Dec again and also to visit my parents.
Hope that you and your family will be well soon,Janet…Take care.Do drink plenty of fluids and avoid certain kinds of foods in this weather. -

If your kids love nougat, Taiwan has this brand which is absolutely yummy. it's 'sugar & spice'. there isn't a milky smell and the taste is gorgeous! -

Hopefully the weather will change for the better soon.Lost a lot of breeding stock fishes to the extreme heat.Tempers flared up easily at home due to the heat too.
hope you have some time to enjoy in Australia and Taiwan.FishFingers:

Thanks FishFingers. I do hope everyone at home will get better soon. it has been rather challenging since late April.
My mother in law taught me to drink Sarsi or 7 Up with lemon juice to combat the flu or sickness bacteria.
Was born in New South Wales so it is like going home but I am a true blue Singaporean. Parents already migrated there after mom retired from teaching service.
But I am still divided about flying there though cos my wife will be 7 months pregnant by then.Maybe will ask my parents to come over. -
FishFingers:
with your parents here as well, it's going to be a big party when the twins are born...and you have no lack of babysitters. your wife can fully concentrate on coaching the older girls while the younger twins will have 2 sets of grandparents to look after them. awesome!

Ok lah,I am quite worried about the wife flying as it will take around 7 hours.Maybe I will not let her fly over.

Maybe you can try soft drinks with lemon juice when symptoms of illnesses like flu or cold appears?Maybe it will work for stomach ailments?
I will be glad when this sickening weather is finally begone. Some of my men could not take the heat and fell sick. But trainings and rehearsals still have to continue without them.I heard this stupid weather will go by Sep?
It works a lot for me in the past. -

7 mths is quite a good time to fly - no more sickness, not too big, still early. Subject to clearance from the doctor, of course. Some airlines may require a doctor's letter, so you may want to check if that's required. Why don't you ask your wife how she feels about flying? It's not just your decision. -
slmkhoo:
7 months is rather subjective, furthermore your wife is pregnant with twins...i remember i wanted to go somewhere with hubby then, but the gynae refused to give clearance.FishFingers:

The weather is really terrible. I pity your men...they have to train under such harsh conditions. National Day next week...trainings will definitely intensify. -

As we have to appear in public live next Wed,I let my men report sick and let them rest as much as I can give them so the they can prepare for one of the biggest days of their lives.Always believed in giving grace/showing kindness to others.Always emphasized this to my children.
Hopefully, the rains will come soon and cool all of us down.Really missed the kind of sunny and wet weather of Singapore 20 years ago.Even when I went swimming recently, the water in the pool was warm. When I brought the girls to ECP recently, not many people were there.Had to cancel some weekend soccer friendlies due to the scorching hot weather too.
How are you Janet?Feeling better?
