Hey thanks for replying to my question. I am on tenterhooks waiting for some news. Every time I get a call from an unfamiliar number or No caller ID, my little heart flutters. I wonder if that’s the call which will bring good tidings. Goodness, I wonder how long I can keep this up.

I feel the same way too. The thought that if the outcome will only be out on 30 August ( Another THREE weeks). I don't know whether my poor heart can take the anxiety.

perhaps you find out from the desired school whether they inform you by email or by phone.

if by email, perhaps can cut down the anxiety a bit.

Can't help feeling jumpy when i get calls from unfamiliar numbers, even though SJI did say that communication will be thru emails.

I think we might still have a while to wait since the last day of interview is today. any idea how many boys were shortlisted for the interview? Seems like quite a number. My estimation was maybe 4 boys per time slot? also do you have any idea if the intake through DSA will be 35% instead of the 50% last year.

Anyway, all the best and hope our boys will be able to make it through!

Hi Komi, my boy also went for the SJI interview last week. I know how you feel! Can’t help feeling jumpy when i get calls from unfamiliar numbers, even though SJI did say that communication will be thru emails.

Hi,
I went to check the e-mail and it was stated 6 dates with 7 slots per day. Each slot had 4 boys, so that works out to be around 168 boys. So I know the chances are quite slim but I hope he gets something. I refresh my email like crazy…

For SJI IP DSA admission, the number is only 60. So we are prepared for the X.

Yeah... and if they further reduce their intake from 50% to 35% (if that is indeed MOE's direction), then the chances just get lower.... :scared:

My boy was asked during the interview if he thought that applying for just SJI was a big risk.. he said no. He was confident of getting in! :roll:
