i am also feeling gan jiong. I random check that the student care will need us to provide the class which our kids will be assigned to. Does that mean that we will have to wait for the official letter of acceptance from the school?

Hi All Parents, I have enrolled my daughter to Punggol Cove primary too. And have received the letter from the school. Orientation would be held on the 28 December. I went the school website to check for more information but sad to know the website wasn’t even updated! it still showing 2015 registration!!!

Oh, so they sent letter. so did the letter state the class too? since mummy chan said need class to register for studentcare.

Ya I saw on the webby is state 28 orientation too. haven open letterbox to check the letter yet. probably some error on the web showing 2015.

Sadly the letter does not say which class, only notify on the orientation date.

But do visit the student care website directly coz they are open for 2018 registration. It’s only the school website not updated…

During registration in the school, the personnel say october will call us to go and buy books if confirm registered.

the school will post the letter of confirmation to your home address.
your LO should be able to get in the school as they have balance seats for the students after the phase 2C(s)

Sometimes feel sad that this school dont seem to be popular and I wonder whether I have made the right choice.

Hi Eeyorex, i have the same worries with you. the school dont seem any update or any feedback from others. For me is because my LO is unable to enroll the other school due to overwhelming application and PCPS is second school that near my place. Hopefully is i too paranoid :roll:

My DD is in P1 this year. Initially I have the same worries over the school cause it was my 2nd choice (1st choice was nearest to my house which we failed in balloting at phase 2C). Now I feel, no regret. Be it the school or the student care. My dd is in great care. One thing to bear in mind is school based student care is unlike external student care, which also acts like a tuition centre. School based student care is more of caring for your child, remind them on their spelling & homework (they will not and not supposed to correct the mistake, they will only point out which is wrong) and on top of that, some enrichment assessment and outdoor activities. So we need to manage our expectation should you decided to enrol in school based student care. I’m a parent who refer independence for my children so school based student care suits me and my dd always come home with all spelling prepared and all homework done. No complain so far. School wise, I like the principal’s thinking ‘For the P1 let’s focus on letting the pupils love school. The 1st step of them loving to come to school is a great beginning of them loving studies. Won’t drag on the idea of coming to school daily.’ I agree… By the way, you can go to the school FB Group for updates instead of their website. As for Book purchase list, name tag (for sch uniform), school socks, school shoes, student care registration & payment, you should be receiving the letter via post soon…
