Thanks so much for your kind words, Sun_2010

I hope all the parents (with kids on WLs) can properly report here end of the year 🙏

Yes, DC got WL and invited.

Last year there were 7 preview lessons option. If each lesson has only 1 class and each class around 24 kids. That is about 7x24 = 168 kids attended the lessons.
Maybe some absence, so not able to estimate how many WL.
Anyway knowing the number can't change anything. You have to put NUSH as first choice in the DSA-Sec school preference form to gain the chance for the WL to be converted to CO.

                congrats!!

For past and present CO NUSH holders, may I know if anyone is NOT an MO winner (Silver and below). I got the feeling that NUSH only offers CO/WL to MO (SMOPS, NMOS and RIPMWC) winners (biased towards boys?) only.
nope!! I got in without an MO gold but that was awhile back. Not sure about now.

I heard the expectation is very high and majority of the students achieve 100/100 in tests and exams. Some says it's a pressure cooker. I'd like to hear comments from parents whose kids are currently studying here.

Nope, students dont achieve full marks easily (especially in year 3 and above, in fact you should be mentally prepared to fail quizzes and tests). It is a pressure cooker for year 3 and above. Year 1 and 2 is like Disneyland.

                    Danhoemark,

I understand that yoy have some frustrations and regret, but do know that this is a public forum. I suggest you edit to remove the year you are in and the gender from the post above. Please exercise caution about revealing personal details that can be narrowed down to a few people. My sincere advice.

DC is on WL ; will go to the tea/preview.

Taking it in good stride 🤷 as DC feels it is \"healthy stress\" so \"you will look to do well for PSLE\".

DC has a schoolmate who has CO. This Friend shared he had no awards , non GEP etc but his parents sent him to a specialised DSA prep agency - specific for DSA to NUS High. He is wondering whether to take the CO up as he is wondering if the school is truly for him.

Meanwhile , we hear from another friend whose child is in Year 3 NUS High that there was a recent call to inform parents of a suicide by another Year 3 kid.

Bear in mind, my child psych Friend has shared that cases like this are common in the IP schools where the youths , having been accustomed to being excellent in everything they hv done , cannot accept any failure or setbacks.

Which brings me to this : that it's best to just let nature takes its course. What is meant to be will be . DC's schoolmate ironically likely would hv got the confirmed offer anyhow. But, the parents eagerness to hothouse on DSA prep to NUS high is now igniting his self-doubt.
