Congrats for ur DS! Just want to learn from his experience for my DS next year, if applying under humanities, what achievement / activities that a boy must have? Is it school debate team? TIA

I heard that in 2015, HCi mentioned that wl1 is very safe if applicants put HCi as their 1st choice. But in 2016, they didn't officially mention this part. On the other hand there're parents emailed them regarding these and get confirmed reply. The quota dropped, so not sure if this will affect 2017.

I think the category is quite wide, not necessarily in the school debate team. My DS has some awards in public speaking competitions and robotics presentations.
