Congrats to EJC for emerging Champions in the “东游记”青年擂台赛

On 5th July, Wu Weiying, Grace Chong and Zhou Yang from the Eunoia Bicultural Studies Programme, emerged as winners of the Business China Youth Showdown. In the process, they gained valuable lessons from teams from other junior colleges, polytechnics and even universities, and shared their critical insights and new perspectives with fellow participants.

Through rigorous research, creative presentation and confident bilingual speeches, they managed to present an evaluation of the future economy, which received high opinions from the judges and overwhelming support from the audience.

Keep up the good work Eunoia BSP !

Hihi as DD considering choices now post psle , anyone can share what made you or DC decide on SCGS IP/EJC ? I’ve heard SCGS is good school but there are girls who opt to drop out of SCGS IP to go SCGS O level because they don’t want to go EJC … EJC is understandably new unknown and unproven …

                  Thanks

IMO is a matter of choice lah.

If ur DD is not willing to enter EJC, but still want to study in SNGS, its rather that she take the O Lvl track since she alrd made up the choice to eventually drop back to O Lvl track, isnt it (will be less stressful that way). Even if she changed her mind, its still possible to enter EJC via O Lvl results, or to the top few JCs out thr (and definitely EJC’s COP like other JCs wont shoot up too competitively these few yrs due to govt’s policy to increase intake)

Another thing is that the school might not give full opportunity to those who switch fm IP to O Lvl since u alrd left a bad record there that u rejected their so called "best" programme. Unless ur DD is confident she can grab all the relevent opportunities like leadership positions, enrichments before she switch to O Lvl track from IP. There is not need to choose IP then change back to O Lvl (coz u won’t get the credit for entering IP track upon graduation).

So my take is either u use PSLE (if ur DD’s T-score good) to enter IP that leads to ur DD’s preferred JC-partner sch, or just take O Lvls and enter that JC via JAE (or even better if can, via DSA since dat usually secure leadership positions in JC).

                      Thanks @weirddad

The crux is whether EJC will turn out to be good JC or not , if DD does IP there , no reason for her to change unless it doesn’t seem to be good JC ya? And there’s no batch of A level results to gauge yet … hence was hoping to understand from parents of DC in / going to EJC 🙂

Looking at the increasing COP of TJC(IP) from the past… and till now holding on to 9 pts.

At the same time looking at the start COP for new JC like Eunoia(IP) also @ 9 pts
It seem that a single digit of 9 pts is the minimum requirement for IPJCs for both arts & science

Wonder whether there is a possibility an IPJC will end up with double digit (eg. 10 pts) in the near future

                        Just curious
