I am looking to install the above - I only want to reduce the heat and not the light. Does anyone have experience with regards to brands and companies etc? I have not seen any recent threads on this and will appreciate some input. Thank you!

Choose one with high IR rejection.

Some makers make thicker film which is good for noise rejection too

Thanks so much! Would you also recommend this particular company for installation?

I had mine installed last year. From this company- http://www.solarfilm.sg/

I chose the company because it offered the lowest quote among the 3 I've contacted. The sales person will come down to your place to take measurement, show you a a catalogue for you to pick the shades you prefer, and then give you a quotation based on your choice.

Workmanship was good. And I do find the film effective as well. 😄

I used V-Kool about 10 years ago. There is some difference BUT remember that if the windows are closed and there is exposure to afternoon sun, room temperature will still increase. the installer was trying to explain, sorry I can’t remember.

So far it has lasted quite well, except I was told to use only very mild cleaning agents - cannot newspapers to ‘polish’, but I will use wet cloth and then.scraper to dry the windows.

There was a promo on 3M solar film with their distributor Jestac. You may want to explore further.

Problem with one-way mirror, nighttime inside still all visible to outside world.
