Can I check if swelling at one side of the neck area (at the thyroid glands) a symptom of thyroid disorder?

I would think any kind of swelling warrants immediate medical attention of a qualified doctor to confirm the condition.

I did not have swelling.
I experienced a 3kg weight loss, diarrhea, difficulty in sleeping, profuse sweating and hand trembling.

Thanks Jennifer.

Went for ultrasound and now waiting for report. Just wanted to check if swelling is also one of the symptoms.
No blood test done to confirm?
I read that not everyone will have swelling.

Asked the doctor and he said blood test usually will be negative, or something like that. It was after reading up this thread then I realised there are different kinds of disorder. Guess I’ll need to ask the doctor more questions when my ultrasound report is ready for review.

I yet to go for the regular checkup with the family GP, so I do not know how the other health indexes are now.

After hearing your friend's experience, I better not procrastinate further.

My understanding for thyroid:

1) Structural: this is tested via ultra-sound. possible to also do biopsy to test whether the nodule is cancerous.
2) Functional: tested via blood test. TSH, T3, T4. symptoms like trembling, sweating etc depending whether it is hypo or hyper.

Good to have regular check up if you have not been discharged . I assume the thyroid meficine is a steroid ?

Thyroid indices are within range, TRAb remains negative for the 3rd time which is a good sign.

Medicine dosage to cut further into 5 times a week for the next 6 weeks. If no abnormality in conditions such as a sudden weight loss, irregular bowel patterns, hand trembling, heart palpitations that cannot be explained with increase stress levels, then to further cut down to 4 times a week for another 6 weeks.

No idea.
The online searches show articles that seem to indicate it is a different type of thyroid disorder from Graves, more related to Hashimoto.
Is my understanding correct?
