Thank you so much Esteema. DS really outdo my expectations. He is mainstream from neighbourhood school, so wasn't having much hopes reading from past year's forum.
:congrats:Estéema:
Yes, yes. RI results is out. My DS received RI CO.... so happy and still can't beleive it.
:congrats: Happy for you, teapot! Enjoy that \"can't believe\" state for a while. Good timing coz yr Prelim just over & time to celebrate as family with yr DS, then face PSLE. -

You mean all the IP schools are required to set aside 50% for IP posting?mommyNg:
Congratulations to all who got a CO or WL!! For those who didn't, don't give up, focus on PSLE, you still have a fighting chance!! :rahrah:
:congrats:
To all who received CO. Those with WL still hopeful days if there are upcoming release fr others. Hopefully admin staff will call as many.
Agree with mommyNg, fighting chance to do well for PSLE. All the best to ALL P6 students sitting for PSLE.
Most of these schools obligated to set aside 50% of IP places for S1 posting & at least 80% for Express. Might be more if multiple holders hv not release places, so at Briefing, one principal said after he submits CO list to MOE, might turn out to hv more >80% during S1 posting.
So keep hopeful. :xedfingers:
I wonder how some of these schools like NJC, RGS will cope as previously they have been focused on academics using screening tests such as GAT for their selection and now they are accepting majority via different talents? I hope they have a strategy to help integrate the kids and help those who are weak. -

As far as I understand, for this year DSA, it seems that most of the top schools have reduced their DSA intake from 50% to 35% (e.g. RGS, RI, HCI, NJC). In any case, as parents, we should also responsibly consider our children's academic fit with these top schools before accepting the offer.
