As far as I understand, for this year DSA, it seems that most of the top schools have reduced their DSA intake from 50% to 35% (e.g. RGS, RI, HCI, NJC). In any case, as parents, we should also responsibly consider our children's academic fit with these top schools before accepting the offer.
You mean all the IP schools are required to set aside 50% for IP posting?
I wonder how some of these schools like NJC, RGS will cope as previously they have been focused on academics using screening tests such as GAT for their selection and now they are accepting majority via different talents? I hope they have a strategy to help integrate the kids and help those who are weak. -

Congratulations to all DC who got CO or WL!
I used WL as a motivation for my DD to work hard for her PSLE so that she has a chance to go to her dream school. -

Agree. Fit is very impt. But no idea where the other 15% gone to for some schools. Might it be for those students courted directly by schools even before DSA starts, as some parents shared earlier?
Many of u asked how I know DS' choice school & decide so expediently.
Actually DH & I had diff 'wish' for good schools for DS - RI, NUSH & ACSI. However, after we made applications, we analyze our DS personality & decided after hearing veteran KSP dad's & mums sharing and guess it helps bcoz DS quite \"loyal\" bloke :-
1. Bcoz DS personality we don't think NUSH will fit based on current exhibition of behaviour. Lol. He's quite a creative chap & restless sitting long but he must keep himself going all the time owise he often complains being bored. We've a room just for his favorite pastime in drawing, etc. He loves Coding, etc. We finally back down on NUSH coz not to maroon him doing 3 hard sciences for 6 years to the disappointment of my ex-boss on the board.
2. We kept our conversation with him but over the last couple of months, he's still single-minded. So, one choice & others dropped.
