I think the water tends to be warmer in the afternoon. My boy’s lessons all in the afternoon under the hot sun. Have to slather on waterproof sunblock but at least not cold. (Year end will be colder due to afternoon monsoon rains though)

            Err, not about pool
            About kid capacity / potential
My ds learnt after he completed gold at 9+.But he was taught dolphin kick first . Need to be flexible bottom n strong flex / kick ( 2 legs close to swim length) must be able to master well before the butterfly can open the wings / arms . V strenuous , even adult get breathless easily .He lost interest at 10 & stop but he still can do dolphin kick well for length , still at caterpillar stage . 😉

Cold pool: last time , I gave child a cup of warm/ hot milo before class. Is SengKang pool ok? I saw lots of young kids swimming in the learner pool. Another warmer pool I know is safra Yishun / or prob other safra also have warm kids pool for classes.

You can try Swimfast Aquatic Group at MGS pool. Can go down on weekends to observe their lessons and coaching style before you commit. Not this weekend though, term break.

I would like to get some advice from parents or swimmers here. My boy likes to learn swimming but he is afraid of cold. Tends to shiver after 15 minutes in pool, eventhough he wears thermal swimsuit. Any public swimming pool that has warmer water or indoor heated pool? Trying to learn swimming but if he cannot stay in water long enough, how? And any recommendation for good swimming instructor or lesson along north east? Many thanks.
