Hi all, i am new to this forum. My daughter has just got a CO from tjc. Letter states she must still score the minimum express score. Can anyone tell me what is this minimum express score and where can i find it ? Is this different from school to school ? What is this score based on ?

Express stream t-score is 200. So the benchmark point is really low.

After PSLE over, you'll receive a posting book.
Inside will specify the minimum express range

for Temasek JC (IP school, not a normal O level Sec school) : it is not so low as 200.
for TJC, being an IP Secondary school, the minimum express is a range, around 220 to 230, because the actual COP via PSLE T-score was around 250 last year (2016).
Refer to content inside the posting book, once u receive it.

Yes, focus on PSLE, do well, still can enter your desired schools, through S1 posting. All the very best !

Yes, DSA is only one of the two ways... you can still choose NYGH during the S1 Posting Exercise. Not all hopes are lost...

At least now, we know our DC's PSLE marks and we can choose the schools based on the different factors. Back then during my era, we choose the schools first before we noe our PSLE marks... End up, some of my frds were posted to dunno where... so far from their house then...

I noe that alot of us doesn't believe strongly on the \"all schools are good schools\" theory... some of us are still very skeptical... but i always believe that as long as we put our faith and hope in our kids and the teachers.. i believe our kids will flourish and be a good man/woman and useful to the society..

Yes national level mim express is 200. This is the sch commitment to kid , in return kid must be commited thru the 6 yrs IP as well ( even if kid may score 280, still must be commited go back to the sch which CO is given out ) .
Since sch can give co means certain level of confidence in the child n parent ability

you will know the day you get the PSLE results and DSA posting. you have to indicate your acceptance in late Oct.

Does it mean MoE or the schools check the PSLE score before they offer admission to wait listed DCs?
Just a guess.

As long as your psle results at least express "standard", you will be accepted by DSA school provided there are spaces (vacated by others).


otherwise, you will participate in the secondary one posting exercise.
