Hi, realized we are not called to attend any parent meet teachers session. They don't have such meeting for Sec 1 students?

End of year definitely have.
Mid-year usually no.
Even the end of year PTM is \"by invitation only\".
If not invited means teachers have no issues about DS.
So not invited is good.

Are there any parents here who are in the PSG ?

I'd like to know what the PSG do in the school, and what kinda benefits
actually do the parents get out of helping the school ? I'm sorry if I sound \"rude\" here but
i'd like to know, what's the motivation for the parents of secondary school boys
to be involved in the school ?

For committing part of their busy life in the school activities ?
What do they get out of it ? How does it benefits their son in the school?

Appreciate anyone who answers.
We could even talk over the phone if its more comfortable over a frank talk.

CHS has a very strong PSG (especially from the primary section). Most have been volunteering their service since their boys were in primary school. They do not get anything out of helping the school. Neither do their boys get any special privilege or treatment.

If one is only thinking of the benefits one can get from helping the school, one should not join the PSG, especially @ CHS.

We have more good news for you!! Our fellow 公教 brother, Wong Zhi Wei from class 3-1 recently represented Singapore in the ASEAN Paralympic Games in Kuala Lumpur. He swam against fierce competition from neighbouring countries and bagged himself a Silver in the men's 100m S13 freestyle event with an incredible timing of 1:05.26, which was also his personal best!

Let's congratulate him on his remarkable achievement and salute him for his indomitable spirit!! Good job Zhi Wei!! #team公教
