Hi,

Understand that ZHSS has AEP. But students taking AEP will not be taking Food and consumer education & Design n Technology. May I know the pros & cons of it?

If did not take these 2 subjects in lower sec does it mean cannot take these subjects in upper sec liao?

If wanna go Poly will AEP help?

Needed some people with knowledge of this programme to share with me.

No it isnt affiliated to any other schools. The nearest JC, Nanyang JC, is linked with the 2 Chung Cheng schools. :nosebleed:

JC affiliation is 2 bonus pts off L1R5 and only applies if u dun hav HMT and only have 1/2 bonus pts fm CCA, maximum only can deduct 4 pts with additional 2 if take CLEP (the 语特 thing, but dont anyhow use coz its quite demanding for Chinese std).

But When HMT is used as the 1st Language in the L1R5, instead of English Language (this happens when ur HMT result is better than ur English result, coz the system will automatically chose the lowest RAW L1R5 calculation that gives the lowest NET L1R5 after minusing all bonus points, if not mistaken)

I will use an example to illustrate.

Alpha Tan: No HCL, all A1s except English B3, CCA excellent
Beta Chan: Takes HCL and managed to get A2, all the rest A1s except English B3, CCA excellent

Both Alpha and Beta applied to JC Y (they hate Chinese so decide to die die not chose CLEP)

For Alpha,

L1R5 will be calculated with HCL as L1 (meaning his HCL, Chinese and English CANNOT be used as one of the R5s)

So, RAW L1R5=6 (since the rest all A1) ==> Net L1R5 = 6 - 2(CCA pt) - 2 (affiliation, coz he alrd used HCL as L1, so no bonus for HCL)

So Alpha's net L1R5 will be 2pts.

For Beta,

L1R5 will be calculated with English as L1

So, RAW L1R5=8 (since the rest all A1) ==> Net L1R5 = 8 - 2(CCA pt) - 2 (affiliation, coz he no HCL, system will use affiliation instead)

For no affiliation is just delete the affiliation part in the equation. And yeap no all bonus points can be used. MOE cap it at max 4pts (or 6pts if ur kid is willing to commit to Chinese or Malay to take LEP in JC)

hi, how r the classes being streamed for sec1? any idea of non-dsa or dsa classes? and for express/ NA/ NT, how many classes each? how large is 1 level?
