I doubt anyone not in NYPS will have the NYPS prelims papers. Even if anyone whose children are P6 NYPS would not want to share the school prelim papers. Wrote in to the school for the prelim papers but no response from them.

My DC skipped school totally straight after prelim result and release of prelim papers. Inform the FT that we are doing intensive recap and revision and most importantly rest well and not catching any viruses. FT and teachers were kind enough to understand.

it's great to have understanding teachers...if i keep my kids at home, it would be for the same reasons too.

in fact, i thought of skipping a few days of school to revise for her sec 1 exam...too many subjects and topics.
        will discuss with hubby.

don't worry...the teachers who set the psle papers are not from one school...the questions should meet the national cohort standard.

The final stretch... we are in the full swing of the momentum now, so will continue to do those prelim papers, but targeted and selected (e.g., certain booklets / sections) to prevent fatigue, hand in hand with revision. Some of the easier papers in fact gave us a boost of confidence.... 😉

Yes! When stress level too high, easier papers give kids a good feeling. Not so let down. Scaffolding their emotions. :imcool:

This was discussed quite a bit in my DS's class. It is a close fight between answers 1 and 3. My DS chose 3. I'd choose 3 too cos A 同学说“我不知道你妈妈还会缝制衣服呢?\". So the next sentence should logically be \"我妈妈刚刚开始学缝制衣服\". It is related to learning to sew?

For those who need a laugh to de-stress...Mr Brown just did a funny video on this hot topic: https://www.facebook.com/mrbrownlah/videos/1430295743686972/

Personally I'd eliminate 1 because in the context, the 2 friends sound quite close and see each other often? That's why A noticed that B had new clothes? So it is difficult to believe that A did not know B's mum sews new clothes every single chance she gets. This passage is not about those \"ke tao hua\" niceties that strangers spout to each other...I believe all info provided in an exam are important towards the qn, not just fluff.

But anyway, it's over so don't look back...There is still the written papers which form the rest of the marks right? Jia you to those parents and kids gearing up for the next phase...all the best!

Hi, does it mean nyps prelims papers is not among the set of prelims sold on the market? Is this the same case as for previous years? Just curious..my kids are not in P6 this year...

The ones sold in the market contain last year 2016 Nanyang prelim papers. One year ago : are available in the market.

But these parents here are asking for the most recent 2017 Nanyang Prelim papers, as PSLE is next week, and their children (born 2005) are sitting for PSLE next week.

Currently, only P6 NYPS students have access to these 2017 Nanyang Prelim papers, because they had just sat for their Prelim.

The school management doesn't release these papers to parents whose children come from other schools (Non-NYPS), even though they did write in, to request for a copy. Unless NYPS parents themselves here, are willing to share 2017 prelim paper ... but this will mean they have to \"mask off\" their child's NYPS 2017 Prelim answers and marks, before sharing to others ...

If you want 2017 paper, perhaps
                      Wait
until next year 2018 when 2017 papers become available in the market. The vendors need some time to process before can put them up for sale in the market, together with other schools as well, by selling them in a pack

                        why need nyps paper?
is it higher chance of nyps staff setting more qns in psle paper?
                        :nailbite:
